Replit CEO Amjad Masad
Replit Agent recently received a major efficiency upgrade. Masad showed a user completing a web app, iOS app, landing page, marketing video, and pitch deck for less than $15. He noted that widespread AI use has made coding lonely: the collaboration of teams designing and writing code together is fading as everyone increasingly prompts alone. Replit launched Agent 4 to address this, specifically handling conflicts and merges when multiple people prompt together, including whose prompt runs first and how conflicting intentions are resolved.

Box CEO Aaron Levie
Levie offered a counterintuitive view of AI and employment: exposure to AI does not necessarily cause layoffs and may instead increase hiring and wages, depending on consumer demand elasticity and the proportion of a job’s tasks AI can replace. He believes automation’s real effects often run counter to intuition and should be examined carefully through economics rather than simply adopting an “AI replaces jobs” narrative.

Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan
Tan discussed the central challenge of AI chat products, calling context-window management the most important engineering work. He open-sourced GStack’s Claude Skill end-to-end testing framework, inviting community trials and feedback. He also commented on Germany’s nuclear-power controversy, calling its abandonment of nuclear energy a strategic mistake and urging a global nuclear revival. He reposted discussion about combining working from home with the commuting experience, along with support for open source.

Roblox product manager Peter Yang
Yang shared an efficient workflow: doing substantial AI work entirely on mobile, providing feedback rather than editing manually, with fewer situations requiring his direct editing. He reposted takeaways from Ramp CPO Geoff Charles’s podcast, summarizing five points about PMs’ changing roles, including that “PMs now write specs for AI, not engineers,” and that even high-performing PMs need to embrace AI tools.

OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger
Steinberger released CodexBar 0.18 with support for Kilo, Ollama, and OpenRouter, plus historical Codex usage-pattern tracking, risk predictions, and backfill. It also consolidated the menu’s Overview tab, reduced disruptive Claude keychain prompts, and substantially lowered CPU and memory use. He said OpenClaw’s core architecture is undergoing major restructuring, removing substantial code to become lighter and faster, with support now for Claude, Codex, and Cursor plugin bundles. Most significantly, he worked with NVIDIA’s AI team on OpenShell and NemoClaw, a major step toward trusted, secure agents. That post received 2764 likes and 152 reposts, attracting broad attention.

Every CEO Dan Shipper
Shipper expressed excitement about autoresearch, seeing it as embodying the bitter lesson: abandon complex agent infrastructure and use the simplest system design to devote more tokens to the problem. He shared a saying by Ashoka, the ancient Mauryan ruler, about happiness requiring love of Dhamma and self-examination. He jokingly declared that “everyone will be a dictator in the future,” referring to the spread of voice dictation, and summarized his current mantra: “If you can vibe-code it, you can vibe-fix it.”

Claude Code engineer Thariq
Thariq felt “vibe coding” did not adequately describe the beauty of Claude’s output. He used Claude with Gemini API image generation to create an HTML page on Sufism and mathematics, inspired by Twitter artist @instance_11. He argued that Claude’s 1M context window may be underrated and performs well in practice. He now almost never proactively clears it, showing how long context already delivers value in real workflows.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman
Altman praised the Codex team as “hardcore builders,” saying usage is growing rapidly and every hardcore developer he knows has switched to Codex. He also shared observations from GPT-5.4’s first week in the API, saying builders are moving fast and that he personally feels a clear improvement from 5.3 to 5.4, especially on certain dimensions beyond intelligence.

Linear Head of Product Nan Yu
Yu acknowledged that Linear introduced a generative AI feature but ultimately withdrew it because it made pressing a button too easy a substitute for actual thinking and decision-making, letting users “skip the work itself.” The post prompted reflection on the boundary between assistance and replacement in AI feature design.

FirstMark Capital VC Matt Turck
Turck argued that software has never simply been a product, but a solution encompassing promises of continued iteration, installation and implementation services, and support when things go wrong—all implicit value. He also joked at VCs’ expense, saying they successively became experts in epidemiology, interest-rate policy, and Middle Eastern strait strategy, satirizing the industry’s tendency to comment outside its expertise.

FPV Ventures Partner Nikunj Kothari
Ahead of YC Demo Day fundraising, Kothari offered direct advice to early founders: do not monologue, because VC attention is short; proactively investigate prospective investors through backchannels to avoid unsuitable board members, since you cannot fire a board member. He also observed VCs buying billboards on Highway 101, traffic for YouTube videos, and launch events for market maps. He sees this as a possible industry bubble signal and invited views from people with more than ten years’ experience.
